Add flavor and nutrition to nearly any recipe with Maui Nui's all-natural Venison Bone Broth.

It’s the most nutritious Bone Broth available. See the proof.

Today, we are using the Venison Bone Broth to boost the flavor and nutrition of the world's most common side: white rice.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup long-grain white rice or Manoomin
  • 2 cups Maui Nui Venison bone broth
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil or butter
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt (adjust to taste)
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper (adjust to taste)

Instructions:

  • Rinse the rice under cold water until the water runs clear. This helps remove excess starch and prevents the rice from becoming too sticky.
  • Mince the garlic.
  • Sauté the Garlic:
  • In a large saucepan or skillet, heat the olive oil or butter over medium heat.
  • Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds, or until fragrant. Be careful not to let it brown.
  • Add Rice and Toast:
  • Add the rinsed rice to the saucepan and stir to coat it with the garlic-infused oil or butter. Allow the rice to toast for 1-2 minutes, stirring occasionally, until it becomes slightly translucent at the edges.
  • Pour in Maui Nui Venison Bone Broth:
  • Carefully pour in the Maui Nui Venison bone broth into the saucepan with the rice. Stir to combine.
  • Season the mixture with salt and black pepper. Adjust the seasoning according to your taste preferences.

Simmer and Cook:

  • Bring the mixture to a boil over medium-high heat.
  • Once it's boiling, reduce the heat to low, cover the saucepan with a tight-fitting lid, and let it simmer for about 15-20 minutes, or until the liquid is absorbed, and the rice is tender.

Fluff and Serve:

  • Once the rice is cooked, remove the saucepan from heat and let it sit, covered, for 5 minutes to allow any residual moisture to be absorbed.
  • Fluff the rice with a fork to separate the grains.
  • Serve your Maui Nui Venison Bone Broth Rice as a simple and flavorful side dish or alongside your favorite Maui Nui Venison or other main course.

This minimalist version of bone broth rice allows the rich flavor of the Maui Nui Venison bone broth to shine through, making for a delicious and satisfying dish. Enjoy!
